MUSE- A Cello Medley
For my first PIP (Personal Interest Project), I decided to try out something new. I have been playing cello for over 8 years, and recently had been learning how to play songs that I downloaded from iTunes in my spare time. Most of the songs I liked to play were by my favorite band, Muse. The hardest part about this project was getting a good sound via the recording equipment I had set up, which proved especially difficult with a cello. In addition to that I also had to learn a completely new piece of software, as garageband was not ideal for recording a live instrument with a microphone in this case. Other than that, filming the project was very simple. I tried to film in very wide open locations in order to make the video more appealing to the viewer, seeing as most classical instruments are usually confined to a stage. Overall, I think it was a huge success.
