Closed-circuit Upload FAQ
I got a pop-up asking me for a password. Why?
If you got a pop-up requesting a password, that means the video you were trying to view is currently in Closed Circulation.
What is Closed Circulation?
Closed Circulation applies to content that is not publicly available for viewing. Some professional content that I post to my portfolio is not uploaded publicly to YouTube, and is distributed internally with the organizations that I work for. Because of this, I'm not allowed to share these projects under my domain name unless they are restricted from the public via password protection.
I really would like to see this video. How can I get the password to watch it?
Unfortunately, I cannot legally hand out the password to people over the internet that are not professionally affiliated with the creation of the media that is in closed circulation. Therefore, unless you are making a professional or business related inquiry, do not contact me asking for a CC password.
Is there any chance I will be able to see this content in the future?
In most cases, videos are usually put into closed circulation because they are being reviewed by other organizations prior to release. That said, there's a pretty good chance that most videos uploaded in closed circulation will later have this restriction removed.
